Overview

PA28-32-DP-PP is a PLCC emulator adapter designed for common 27x-series EPROM devices. As a result, you can use 28-pin DIP EPROMs in systems that require a 32-pin PLCC footprint.

On the top side, the adapter provides a 28-pin DIP socket on 0.100″ (2.54 mm) pitch. Therefore, it accepts 27×64, 27×128, 27×256, and 27×512 DIP devices used in development and validation workflows.

On the bottom side, the adapter presents a 32-pin PLCC plug interface. Consequently, it inserts directly into PLCC emulator sockets and PLCC-based targets.

This adapter uses device-specific EPROM wiring, not full 1:1 mapping. In particular, it leaves PLCC pins 1, 12, 17, and 26 unconnected. As a result, the 28-pin DIP device aligns correctly to the 32-pin PLCC interface.
