PA28-28 – 28-Pin DIP Socket to 28-Pin PLCC Emulator Adapter (1:1 Wiring)

Overview

PA28-28 is a PLCC emulator adapter designed to connect 28-pin DIP-format devices to PLCC-based emulation systems. As a result, engineers can evaluate DIP ICs in platforms that require a PLCC footprint.

On the top side, the adapter provides a 28-pin DIP socket on 0.100″ (2.54 mm) pitch. Therefore, it accepts standard DIP ICs or emulator cable male plugs.

On the bottom side, the adapter presents a PLCC-28 plug interface. Consequently, it inserts directly into PLCC emulator sockets used in development and validation environments.

This version uses true 1:1 wiring between the DIP socket and the PLCC plug. As a result, each DIP pin maps directly to its corresponding PLCC pin without skips or shorts.
