PA40-44-33-DP-PP

PA40-44-33-DP-PP – 40-Pin DIP Socket to 44-Pin PLCC Emulator Adapter (Atmel AT90(L)S4434 / 8535)

Overview

PA40-44-33-DP-PP is a PLCC emulator adapter designed for Atmel AT90(L)S4434 and AT90(L)S8535 microcontrollers. As a result, engineers can evaluate 40-pin DIP AVR devices using systems that require a 44-pin PLCC emulator interface.

On the top side, the adapter provides a 40-pin DIP socket on 0.100″ (2.54 mm) pitch. Therefore, it accepts DIP-packaged AVR devices used in firmware development and lab validation workflows.

On the bottom side, the adapter presents a 44-pin PLCC plug. Consequently, it inserts directly into PLCC emulator sockets without additional cabling.

This adapter uses device-specific wiring rather than 1:1 pin mapping. Instead, it aligns the DIP device signals to the PLCC footprint and applies defined skips and shorts. The Adapter Wiring tables list the exact connections.

  • PLCC-44 plug interfaces directly with emulator sockets
  • Device-specific wiring aligns AT90(L)S4434 and AT90(L)S8535 signals
  • Defined skips and shorts support target emulator requirements

Applications

  • Atmel AVR microcontroller emulation
  • Firmware development and debugging
  • Device programming and validation
  • Engineering and laboratory testing

Package Includes

  • One PA40-44-33-DP-PP DIP-40 socket to PLCC-44 emulator adapter

Compatibility Note

This adapter does not use 1:1 wiring. Instead, it applies AVR-specific pin mapping and defined skip/short behavior as listed in the Adapter Wiring section. Therefore, verify target and emulator requirements before use.

Why Choose This Adapter

PA40-44-33-DP-PP provides documented wiring for AVR emulation in PLCC-based systems. Moreover, it reduces setup time during firmware development.

Because it uses controlled routing, it minimizes pinout mistakes. As a result, engineers can focus on test results instead of connection debugging.

Streamline Your Workflow

Use this adapter to integrate DIP-based AVR devices into PLCC emulator environments efficiently. Consequently, development and validation cycles move faster.
