PA40-44-X-DP-PP – 40-Pin DIP Socket to 44-Pin PLCC Emulator Adapter (User-Wired, Wire-Wrap)

Overview

PA40-44-X-DP-PP is a user-configurable PLCC emulator adapter designed for custom pin mapping and experimental device support. As a result, engineers can adapt 40-pin DIP devices to 44-pin PLCC emulator systems without committing to fixed wiring.

On the top side, the adapter provides a 40-pin DIP machined-pin production socket on 0.100″ (2.54 mm) pitch. Therefore, it accepts DIP ICs or emulator cable male plugs with high insertion durability and reliable contact.

On the bottom side, the adapter presents a 44-pin PLCC plug interface. Consequently, it inserts directly into PLCC emulator sockets and PLCC-based targets used in development and validation environments.

This adapter does not include predefined signal routing. Instead, it exposes individual test points that allow the user to define custom wiring using a wire-wrap tool and wire-wrap wire. As a result, the adapter supports rapid prototyping, non-standard pinouts, and device-specific experimentation.
