PA17C42-DP-PP
PA17C42-DP-PP – 40-Pin DIP Socket to 44-Pin PLCC Emulator Adapter (PIC17C42-Specific Wiring)
Overview
PA17C42-DP-PP is a PLCC emulator adapter designed to support Microchip PIC17C42-family devices in PLCC-based emulation systems. As a result, engineers can evaluate 40-pin DIP PIC devices using a 44-pin PLCC emulator interface.
On the top side, the adapter provides a 40-pin DIP socket on 0.100″ (2.54 mm) pitch. Therefore, it accepts DIP-packaged PIC17C42, PIC17C42A, and PIC17C43 devices without modification.
On the bottom side, the adapter presents a 44-pin PLCC plug interface. Consequently, it inserts directly into PLCC emulator sockets used for firmware development and validation.
This adapter uses PIC17C42-specific wiring. Instead of 1:1 mapping, it routes signals according to the device pinout. As a result, the adapter aligns the 40-pin DIP device with the 44-pin PLCC emulator footprint.
