SSOP to DIP Programming Adapters
SSOP to DIP adapters allow SSOP packaged integrated circuits to be programmed using standard DIP-based programmers and development systems.
Overview
An SSOP to DIP adapter converts a Shrink Small Outline Package (SSOP) device to a dual in-line package (DIP) format for device programming and engineering evaluation.
SSOP packages are commonly used for microcontrollers, interface ICs, memory devices, and analog components where a compact surface-mount footprint is required. Because SSOP packages use fine-pitch gull-wing leads, they cannot be inserted directly into traditional DIP programmer sockets.
An SSOP to DIP programming adapter provides the mechanical interface and signal routing needed to allow SSOP devices to be programmed using DIP-based programmer hardware.
